New Preschool
Little Learners Preschool began in 2018 out of a need for a Christian faith-based program for children in Neosho and the surrounding areas. We love being able to teach children the skills necessary for success during their formative years and using the Bible to give them the best that God has for them! We hope that you will consider partnering with us as we seek to instill confidence and curiosity in our young students!
Welcoming
We have worked hard to establish a secure, comfortable, engaging, and welcoming atmosphere. We keep our rooms bright and colorful and love to display the work that our children are completing. This instills a sense of pride in our students who love to show off how much they have accomplished! We look forward to serving as the best Christian faith-based preschool in the area! Meet our Teachers!
Stephanie Swift - Director
Hello! My name is Stephanie Swift. I graduated from Missouri Southern State University in 1998. I am married to Collin Swift, who was born in Neosho, and we have called this area home for the past 15 years. We have two children; Drake and Desirae, and a labradoodle. Drake is in the 8th grade and Desirae is in the 6th grade.
I worked in finance for 10 years before deciding that I wanted to stay home and work part-time. I was hired as a substitute teacher at Sonshine Preschool where I fell in love with teaching. I eventually got a position as a teacher and had my own classroom for 7 years. Being the director of Little Learners is the perfect balance between my love of teaching and finance!
My family and I are busy with baseball, softball, football, cheer, basketball, and volleyball! We also enjoy swimming and playing golf. I am looking forward to a great year at Little Learners Preschool!
Christy Carter - Teacher
Hi! I am Christy Carter and this will be my third year of teaching preschool. I was born and raised in a little town in Kansas and graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. After having my second child I decided I wanted to spend more time with them and became a stay at home mom. After seven years of doing that, I was asked to become a substitute teacher for SonShine Preschool and shortly after took a teaching position.
I have been married to my husband, Cameron, for 13 years and we have four amazing kiddos. Cole is 11 and will be in the 6th grade; Camri is 9 and in 3rd grade; Callie is 7 and in 2nd grade; and Creleigh is 5 and entering Kindergarten. Being a family of six means that we are always running from one thing to the next, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Robin Slavens - Teacher
Hi! My name is Robin Slavens. I am beginning my 10th year teaching preschool. My husband, Shane, and I have been married for 23 years. We have three children; Bryce, Breanna, and Brett. Both Bryce and Breanna are in college, and Brett is a junior at Neosho High School. Most of our time is spent watching our children's various sports activities.
Our family attends Southside Apostolic Faith Church in Joplin where my husband and I teach a K-4 class each Wednesday night! Working with children has always been a passion of mine and I'm thankful to be a part of Little Learners!
Madison Herrin - Teacher
Hello! My name is Madison Herrin and I am about to begin my first year of teaching with Little Learners and I could not be more excited! I am also engaged to be married to Isaac Townsend in less than 2 months! I'm a dog-mom to two pups, Ellie and Grimm.
I was born and raised in the Neosho/Goodman area and want to raise my own family here as well! I co-own an agriculture business with my dad and that takes up most of my summer days. My fiancé and I enjoy spending time at the lake, time with family, farming, and playing with our dogs.
