Little Learners Preschool began in 2018 out of a need for a Christian faith-based program for children in Neosho and the surrounding areas. We love being able to teach children the skills necessary for success during their formative years and using the Bible to give them the best that God has for them! We hope that you will consider partnering with us as we seek to instill confidence and curiosity in our young students!
We have worked hard to establish a secure, comfortable, engaging, and welcoming atmosphere. We keep our rooms bright and colorful and love to display the work that our children are completing. This instills a sense of pride in our students who love to show off how much they have accomplished! We look forward to serving as the best Christian faith-based preschool in the area! Come check us out!
Hello! My name is Robin Slavens, and I’m honored to serve as the Director of Little Learners Preschool. My journey in early childhood education began as a preschool teacher, and in 2018, I had the privilege of helping launch Little Learners with the goal of creating a nurturing, engaging, and faith-centered environment for young children. I stepped into the role of Director in the fall of 2022, and it has been a true joy to lead and grow alongside our incredible team and families.
My husband Shane and I have been married for 29 wonderful years. We’re parents to three children and grandparents to three precious grandchildren. Our family attends Southside Church in Joplin, where Shane and I teach a preschool class on Wednesday nights, continuing my passion for helping little ones learn and grow in Jesus.
Preschoolers have my heart, and I’m deeply thankful for the opportunity to be part of each child’s early learning journey here at Little Learners. Every day is a new adventure, and I’m grateful to walk alongside our students, their families, and our amazing teachers.

Hello, my name is Sarah Wilcox!
This is my third year teaching at Little Learners, and I’m so thankful to be part of such a caring and joyful environment. I attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK, but I was born and raised in Joplin, MO. I attend Southside Church, where I also serve by teaching Kids Church on Sunday mornings. I have also co-directed a Children's Church Camp 3 years in a row. Working with children is one of the greatest blessings of my life, and I'm so thankful to have the opportunity to show kids the magic of learning and the love of Jesus.
